Skills-based volunteering gives an opportunity for a business volunteer to use their particular business and work skills to help a voluntary/community organisation or an individual
The Need for Business Volunteers
There are hundreds of local voluntary and community organisations which are extremely small (often these organisations may only have one or two employees and/or volunteers) and are heavily lacking in resources and expertise. Even short sessions with business volunteers can really make a difference to these organisations, through providing advice or giving practical demonstrations or instructions in a particularly area.
Additionally, there are many local people who may need advice on starting a business or help with their career and applying for jobs.
Areas of help typically required:

|STRATEGY||ENGAGING WITH BUSINESSES/SALES|
Do I Need to be an Expert to Volunteer?
No. Even if you do not consider yourself an expert, you will have knowledge and experience that a voluntary or community organisation will deem extremely valuable.
How it Works?
Simply let us know what areas of support you may be able to provide and approximately how much time you have. We will then match you to a suitable organisation or individual who needs your area of expertise.
Support and Toolkits Provided
We are here to support you throughout your volunteering. We will provide you with training and toolkits to help you carry out your volunteering so you will know exactly what to expect and what to do.
