Lynton Terrace a residence for those making their way back into the community for the first time after a lengthy period of hospitalisation as a result of various mental health issues was a hive of activity on 31st July. Disney VoluntEARS, eighteen staff from the Disney channel descended on the centre with their stealth like determination to landscape a whole new garden area for residents.  Flower beds were created, lawns sculptured, fencing painted and even ornamental centre pieces creatively fashioned to create a much needed outdoor  area for residents to use.  All was done in just one day with even time to sit back at the end of the day and enjoy afternoon tea with residents.

The afternoon finished with a final presentation by the centre manager who after thanking the group then went on to explain the impact the space will have on the residence and their recovery.

Works4u has an excellent and longstanding relationship with Disney with  the company continuing  to support the services of Works4U  with group volunteers on a regular basis. This relationship is proving to be an excellent model and one which the centre is hopes to roll out with other corporate support shortly.
