9th and 10th July 2013

In July, Works4U exhibited at the Business4Better exhibition at Kensington Olympia in order to start conversations with businesses and help them to engage with the community through volunteering as well as network with partners from the voluntary sector. The aim of Business4Better, organised by UBM, was to bring together a variety of businesses and not-for-profit organisations over the two days through networking, learning, exhibiting and partnering. Works4U was represented by Dominic Pinkney, Oliwia Pawlowska and Nick Galanis, who looked simply gorgeous and handsome in their Works4U t-shirts.

The exhibition was well organised and it was pleasure to speak to many businesses and large organisations who were interested to hear about the range of volunteering options Works4U offers:

Charities that participated in the exhibition varied but they all had a similar aim which was to help our local community and to be more sustainable. There were charities that aimed to help kids in places like Africa, wildlife animals and youth.

There were also many great speakers, such as Serena McMahon and Paulette Cohen that presented to the visitors and exhibitors about “What makes a winning corporate partnership”, “Why partner?  Why not just write a cheque?” and many more. It was very interesting and informative as exhibitors and visitors had a chance to learn from the professionals.

Works4U had a very productive time at the Business4Better exhibition and made a lot of new contacts which we hope will lead to a fruitful partnership that will benefit the community.
